We provide water testing for private wells at the following times:

Monday - Wednesday | 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
Thursday | 8:30 am - 2:00 pm

Private Well Grant

The Grants to Counties Program was established in 1987 when our legislature passed the Iowa Groundwater Protection Act to help prevent further contamination of one of Iowa’s most precious resources; our groundwater.

Grants are made available to local county health departments to provide financial assistance to their residents for private well water services.

The Grants to Counties Program recently updated its name to The Private Well Grant. To learn more, visit the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) website.
