Includes one site evaluation, one soil analysis & final inspection.
Non-Residential Septic Permit Fee (New or Renovation) · $800
Includes one site evaluation, one soil evaluation & final inspection.
Holding Tank Permit Fee · $300
Includes one site evaluation & final inspection.
Septic Permit for System Installed Prior to Permitting or Approval Fee · $800
Includes any system in which construction has been started.
Septic Distribution Box Replacement Permit Fee · $50
Includes replacement of distribution box only.
Private Well Permit Fee · $325
Includes well log entry into the Iowa DNR IWIS Database.
Licensed Septic Installer Annual Registration Fee (February-March) · $50
Connecting to an Existing Septic System Permit Fee · $300
Includes one site evaluation & final inspection. A Time of Transfer Inspection is required for this permit and has a separate inspection fee.
Site Assessment/Evaluation without Permit Fee · $200
Includes all site evaluations for private well and septic, new builds/site planning, and existing renovations when a permit has not yet been applied for.
Time of Transfer Inspection · $500
(without arranging commercial septic cleaner)
Time of Transfer Inspection · $600
(with arrangement of commercial septic cleaner)
Variance Request · $150
Each variance request requires a separate fee.
Water Testing (When Private Well Grant funds are not available) · $40
Radon Test Kit Fee · $20
Includes one short-term radon test kit.
Radon Test Kit Installation Fee · $15
