Jackson County Human Resource Office is accepting Applications for a Full-time Matron Jailer
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is seeking applicants to fill the position of full-time Matron Jailer / Transport Officer. Under general supervision, this position ensures the safety, security, and orderly operation of the inmates and daily routines in the Jackson County Detention Center including escorting and transporting inmates as required. This position will require the selected individual to attend a mandatory 40-hour jail school in Des Moines, Iowa.

Jackson County Human Resource is accepting Applications for a Park Ranger
Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Park Ranger manages and maintains all Jackson County Conservation
Board management areas.
The Park Ranger is responsible for developing and coordination work projects for themselves and seasonal employees, maintaining all park equipment and facilities, and enforcing all park rules and regulations in management areas.
This position requires the operation of all types of equipment including trucks, tractors, mowing equipment, chainsaw, weed eater, power tools, wood splitter, watercraft and all types of hand tools.
This position requires travel to all areas managed by the Conservation Board and periodic travel to meetings throughout the State.
