The Jackson County Veterans Affairs Office provides support to veterans, surviving spouses of veterans, children of deceased or disabled veterans, and parents who lost a son or daughter in military service.

We help these individuals apply for various federal and state benefits. We work WITH the federal Veterans Affairs, Iowa Department of Veteran Affairs, and other veteran organizations to inform veterans about the benefits for which they are eligible.

We do NOT work for the Veterans Administration or the State of Iowa and have no direct influence on the granting of benefits.

The Jackson County Veterans Affairs office is cross-accredited with the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Disabled American Veterans. It is nationally accredited to file federal claims for veterans.
