To request access to any records, please fill out a request form. Once completed, please email the form to kwells@jacksoncounty.iowa.gov.

Accident/Incident Reports

Paper copies of the reports are available upon request in person or by mail for $5.00. Upon request and payment received, copies can be mailed, emailed, or faxed. Accident reports are available within five to seven business days after an incident.

Payment should be made either in cash or a check payable to the Jackson County Sheriff.

Iowa Criminal History Record

If you are in need of a statewide Iowa Criminal History Record check, you will need to contact the Dissemination Unit within the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) in Des Moines. DCI accepts online applications and payments for criminal history record checks.

Military Records Check

Requests made by the armed forces can be faxed or emailed directly to us or the local recruiter can bring them to our office. Our fax number is 563-652-0662, and emails can be sent to kwells@jacksoncounty.iowa.gov.
