9-1-1 EMERGENCY SERVICES DISPATCHER

 

MAQUOKETA LAW CENTER

 

Maquoketa Police Department is seeking applicants for the position of full-time 9-1-1 Emergency Services Dispatcher. This position requires the ability to respond quickly and calmly to emergency and non-emergency situations reported to the Jackson County 911 Dispatch Center. Under stress the applicant must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously involving law enforcement, fire, and EMS response.

 

Requirements:  High School graduate or GED, at least 18 years of age, have a valid drivers license, and be of good moral character as determined by a thorough background investigation and fingerprint check. No felony or aggravated misdemeanor convictions. Applicant must be able to work all shifts on a rotating basis, including weekends, holidays, and overtime. Our dispatchers work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend off.

 

Current salary range is $24.55-$29.87 per hour depending on experience with City of Maquoketa benefit package.
