Senior Engineering Technician
Under the direction of the County Engineer, performs engineering duties in the planning, surveying, design, drafting and construction inspection of county road, bridge, and culvert projects. Performs technical skills in the inspection of construction projects to ensure their compliance with Iowa DOT standards and specifications; also performs manual, sub-professional work and leads the survey party.
Must have high school diploma or G.E.D. supplemented by course work in advanced mathematics / completion of courses in technical engineering subjects. Five years of construction inspection, surveying and or construction administration preferred. The ability to read construction plans is a plus.
Valid driver’s license required.
