Jackson County is seeking a motivated individual to join our Security team!

 

This position will work scheduled part-time plus on-call hours, with a starting wage of $25.35 per hour.  Responsibilities include performance of duties consistent with providing security and enforcement necessary to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and citizens conducting business within the Jackson County Courthouse, Sheriff’s Office and Penrose Annex.  Responsibilities will also include the transportation of inmates for court proceedings, or otherwise.

 

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent; previous corrections, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.  Must possess or have the ability to successfully complete the minimum standards for firearm qualifications and must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the County policy.  Candidates must not be opposed to the use of force.
