Recorder Clerk

Jackson County is seeking a detail-oriented, friendly professional individual to join our Recorder’s Office.

This position will assist the County Recorder in performing statutory duties related to recording, maintaining, and providing access to official records. This position involves clerical, administrative, and technical tasks, including document processing, passport application acceptance, and customer service.

This is a full-time position requiring organizational and communication skills, ability to multi-task, computer experience and extensive public interactions. 

Ideal candidates will possess strong customer service and communication skills, strong attention to detail, organizational skills and accuracy in transaction management. 

Two- three years of related experience in real estate, banking, legal, customer service or document processing work preferred. 

Knowledge of state statutes and regulations related to recording and recreational vehicles, ability to read and interpret legal descriptions and proficiency in office software and specialized recording systems are all a plus!

Must be 18 years of age, a US Citizen, possess a valid driver's license and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
