Assistant County Attorney
Primary duties of the position include representing the State of Iowa in all levels of criminal cases, juvenile delinquency, child in need of assistance/termination of parental rights cases, and civil commitment cases. Representing Jackson County in county infraction cases and other civil matters. Assisting law enforcement with investigations and charging decisions, including outside of normal office hours as needed.
Applicants must possess a Juris Doctorate degree and be admitted to practice law in the State of Iowa, with their license in good standing.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the practice of law, including trial experience.
